Undiscovered Destinations, a travel operator in the UK, has created another Around The World In 80 Days package. It comes with a price tag starting at 17,950 pounds per person and will not use airplanes but rather cargo ships in the spirit of the original Around The World In 80 Days novel.

Around The World In 80 Days has been adapted quite a few times and so far there have been three theatre productions, four movies and six television series based on the novel.

One of the most popular adaptations is the 1956 movie adaptation of the book. It starred David Niven and was directed by Michael Anderson. It was a major success and it won five Oscars including the Academy Award for Best Picture.

In 2004, another Around The World In 80 days action-adventure movie was made. It started Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan. Unfortunately, it was a box office failure and the only awards it received were the Stinker Award for Worst Supporting Actor (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Most Unwelcome Remake. It was also nominated for the Razzie Awards for Worst Supporting Actor ( Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Worst Remake or Sequel… sorry Arnold!

Although it wasn’t well-received it is still really fun to watch and besides, who doesn’t enjoy a Jackie Chan movie!
